A Note on Reflected Dirichlet Forms [PDF]

open access: yesPotential Analysis, 2017
In this paper we give an algebraic construction of the (active) reflected Dirichlet form. We prove that it is the maximal Silverstein extension whenever the given form does not possess a killing part and we prove that Dirichlet forms need not have a ...

Dirichlet forms on unconstrained Sierpinski carpets

Probability theory and related fields, 2021
We construct symmetric self-similar Dirichlet forms on unconstrained Sierpinski carpets, which are natural extension of planar Sierpinski carpets by allowing the small cells to live off the 1/k grids.

Convergence of Discrete Dirichlet Forms to Continuous Dirichlet Forms on Fractals

Potential Analysis, 2004
Consider a finitely ramified fractal possessing a ``Laplacian''. Approximate the fractal by a sequence of increasingly refined ``grids''. On these grids the Laplacian defines a unique sequence of discrete energies which increases to the continuous energy, the bilinear form defined by the Laplacian.

Heat kernels and non-local Dirichlet forms on ultrametric spaces

, 2020
We consider a class of jump measures on ultrametric spaces and the associated non-local regular Dirichlet forms. We obtain equivalent conditions for certain heat kernel upper and lower estimates in terms of the properties of the jump measure.

Criticality of Schrödinger forms and recurrence of Dirichlet forms

Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2023
Introducing the notion of extended Schrödinger spaces, we define the criticality and subcriticality of Schrödinger forms in the manner similar to the recurrence and transience of Dirichlet forms. We show that a Schrödinger form is critical (resp.

LÉVY–DIRICHLET FORMS

Infinite Dimensional Analysis, Quantum Probability and Related Topics, 2006
We construct a Dirichlet form associated with the infinite dimensional Lévy–Laplace operator. We show that there exists a natural connection between this form and a Markov process.

Kato Space for Dirichlet Forms

Potential Analysis, 1999
The authors consider a wide class of regular Dirichlet forms of diffusion type incuding elliptic and subelliptic operators. For these Dirichlet forms the notion of Kato space is introduced and it is proved that the Kato space becomes a Banach space when suitably normed.

Relaxation for Dirichlet Problems Involving a Dirichlet Form

Zeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 2000
For a fixed Dirichlet form, we study the space of positive Borel measures (possibly infinite) which do not charge polar sets. We prove the density in this space of the set of the measures which represent varying, domains. Our method is constructive. For the Laplace operator, the proof was based on a pavage of the space.
