Blow-up criteria for compressible viscoelastic flows with general pressure laws

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
We investigate the blow-up criteria of strong solutions to the Dirichlet and Cauchy problems for the compressible viscoelastic equations with vacuum in two and three dimensions, where a general class of pressure laws without monotonicity constraints is ...

Fractional Cauchy problems on bounded domains

open access: yes, 2008
Fractional Cauchy problems replace the usual first-order time derivative by a fractional derivative. This paper develops classical solutions and stochastic analogues for fractional Cauchy problems in a bounded domain $D\subset\mathbb{R}^d$ with Dirichlet

Overcoming the Nyquist Limit in Molecular Hyperspectral Imaging by Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Explorative spectral acquisition guide automatically selects informative spectral bands to optimize downstream tasks, outperforming full‐spectrum acquisition. The selected hyperspectral data are used for tasks such as unmixing and segmentation. BandOptiNet encodes selection states and outputs optimal bands to guide spectral acquisition. Recent advances

Finite-Element Discretization of Static Hamilton-Jacobi Equations Based on a Local Variational Principle

open access: yes, 2004
We propose a linear finite-element discretization of Dirichlet problems for static Hamilton-Jacobi equations on unstructured triangulations. The discretization is based on simplified localized Dirichlet problems that are solved by a local variational ...

gnSPADE: Incorporating Gene Network Structures Enhances Reference‐Free Deconvolution in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
gnSPADE integrates gene‐network structures into a probabilistic topic modeling framework to achieve reference‐free cell‐type deconvolution in spatial transcriptomics. By embedding gene connectivity within the generative process, gnSPADE enhances biological interpretability and accuracy across simulated and real datasets, revealing spatial organization ...

Boundary Value Problems for the Three-Dimensional Helmholtz Equation in the Unbounded Octant, Square and Half Space

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki
At present, the results of the study of boundary value problems for the two-dimensional Helmholtz equation with one and two singular coefficients are known.

Continuity results for parametric nonlinear singular Dirichlet problems

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2019
In this paper we study from a qualitative point of view the nonlinear singular Dirichlet problem depending on a parameter λ > 0 that was considered in [32].

The Dirichlet Problem [PDF]

open access: yesČasopis pro pěstování matematiky, 1958
Let S + be a connected region, bounded by simple smooth non- intersecting contours Lo, L1 …, LP the first of which contains all the others. By L will be understood the union of these contours; as usual, the positive direction on L will be taken such that S + remains on the left. The contour Lo may be absent in which case S+ is infinite.

The localization effect for eigenfunctions of the mixed boundary value problem in a thin cylinder with distorted ends

open access: yes, 2009
A simple sufficient condition on curved end of a straight cylinder is found that provides a localization of the principal eigenfunction of the mixed boundary value for the Laplace operator with the Dirichlet conditions on the lateral side.

Topology Optimization for a Rigid‐Compliant Hybrid Constant Force Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Constant‐force grippers deliver near‐constant output without sensors, cutting cost and complexity. This study proposes a topology‐optimization framework jointly designing rigid links and material distribution, modeled via link‐state and element‐density variables with constant force as the objective.
