Ion Diffusion and Disaccommodation in Ferrites

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1968
In various mixed ferrites, the relationship between disaccommodations (DA) and cation vacancy densities was investigated, the latter being estimated from the diffusion coefficients of isotopes. The relaxation time of DA–I observed at approximately 250°C was in agreement with an extrapolated value from the cation diffusion at elevated temperatures ...

Magnetic disaccommodation in Sr doped magnetite

Le Journal de Physique IV, 1998
The relaxation of the initial permeability is measured in polycrystalline strontium doped magnetite with initial compositions SrO-nFe 2 O 3 , with n ranging between n=16 and n=122.34. The samples have been sintered at 1300° C in a reducing CO 2 atmosphere and rapidly quenched to provide the presence of crystal vacancies In the temperature range ...

Disaccommodation in manganese-zinc ferrite

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1971
The temperature spectrum of disaccommodation for manganese-zinc ferrous-ferrite toroidal specimens is studied using two methods of magnetic shock. One of these methods, namely, disturbance using a capacitor discharge (ac demagnetization), produces a broad maximum in the disaccommodation against temperature characteristic.

The magnetic disaccommodation in aluminium ferrites

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1999
Abstract The domain wall stabilization processes in aluminium substituted magnetite is investigated by means of disaccommodation techniques. The time evolution of the initial magnetic susceptibility after sample demagnetization is measured for polycrystalline specimens with nominal composition Al x Fe 3− x O 4 , 0⩽ x ⩽1, around room temperature ...

Anomalous magnetic disaccommodation in yttrium iron garnet

Materials Letters, 1998
Abstract An alternative approach to account for the oxygen loss at sintering temperatures in YIG allows an explanation to the not yet elucidated accommodation effect observed in the magnetic disaccommodation spectrum of nominal stoichiometric samples below 130 K; i.e., the observed time increase of the initial permeability μ i after ...

Disaccommodation in Fe-Al alloys

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1970
In Fe-Al alloys only two regions of disaccommodation are found. The first at about 0°C is caused by the Snoek-effect and the second at about 400°C by reorientation of substituted Al atoms. The temperature dependence of the disaccommodation agrees well with the calculated one.

Disaccommodation in a nearly zero magnetostriction metallic glass

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1984
Abstract Disaccommodation (DA) and accommodation (A) processes showing up in the time dependence of the permeability were investigated in Fe-Co-based metallic glasses with nearly zero magnetostriction. It was found that in some alloys there are anomalously large DA and A processes.
