Framework for capacity building for post disaster construction & demolition waste management at national level [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The entire world is facing frequent and severe disasters In a disaster, generation of waste is unavoidable and critical as it differs from a normal situation in terms of quantity and composition Thus, improper waste management is a major environmental ...

Can Elastomers Combine Stiffness, Toughness and Fatigue Resistance?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review studies how the molecular and macroscopic architecture of elastomers influence their mechanical properties including: stiffness, stretchability, toughness, fatigue resistance, and damping behavior. By linking the structure to performance, it proposes design principles for advanced elastomeric systems that combine mechanical properties ...

Leveraging Data‐Driven and Fundamental Insights for Electrolyte Innovation in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using 640 curated electrolyte formulations, we apply data‐driven analysis to reveal how molecular features govern coulombic efficiency (CE) in lithium metal batteries. Fluorine content correlates positively with CE, while oxygen, carbon, and higher boiling points correlate negatively.

Interfacial Failure and Self‐Healing in Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic interfacial self‐healing offers an adaptive route to mitigate coupled mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical degradation in solid‐state batteries. This review connects evolving interfacial failure mechanisms with physical‐flow, chemical‐restoration, stimuli‐responsive, and electric‐field‐assisted repair strategies, highlighting targeted self‐
