Codeine toxicity via breast Milk: Can this occur and implications for opiate therapy in children

Codeine is commonly used in combination analgesic products. The use of codeine during breastfeeding can rarely be associated with serious adverse effects related to genetic polymorphisms affecting codeine's metabolism and disposition. Clinicians treating infants of breastfeeding mothers should be aware of this rare but potentially serious complication.

Single‐subject designs in character education: Methods for rigorous, contextual, and practitioner‐led research

Abstract Character education research is often constrained by blunt methodological tools. Surveys capture breadth without depth; case studies offer richness but lack replicability; and randomised controlled trials (RCTs), though indispensable at the policy level, are costly, disruptive and ill‐suited to everyday practice with individual pupils.

Mitochondria‐endoplasmic reticulum organelle glue as maturation promoter for origination/dimensional dual‐cross cardiomyocytes

Mitochondria‐endoplasmic reticulum contact sites (MERCS) are areas where the mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum closely interact. In this study, we utilize synthetic organelle glues to artificially engineer MERCS for regulating cardiomyocyte development, through which the immature and chemo‐plasticity issues of undifferentiated cells are addressed.
