Decreasing the Cost of Morphing in Adaptive Morphogenetic Robots
Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.Shape‐morphing propulsive limbs enhance locomotion across land‐to‐water transitions, but prior designs rely on thermally responsive components, coupling performance to environmental temperature. This study introduces a pressure‐responsive mechanism that reduces morphing energy costs, enables rapid transitions, and minimizes failure modes.
