Bio-Economies of Scope and the Discard Problem in Mulitple Species Fisheries [PDF]
This paper considers the problem of multi-species fisheries management when targeting individual species is costly and at-sea discards of fish by fishermen are unobserved by the regulator.

We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Natural Biomaterials for Osteochondral Repair: From Source to Strategy
Biological origin‐guided overview of natural biomaterials and therapeutic strategies for osteochondral tissue engineering. The circular diagram categorizes representative materials and strategies into plant/algae‐derived, microbial‐derived, animal‐derived, and human‐derived sources, centered on an osteochondral defect repair model.

In an era when information is paramount, ensuring equitable access to knowledge remains a critical challenge as information divides persist and even widen across many regions of the world. As a librarian in a theological library and of Korean descent, I recognise the profound importance of theological resources and their transformative power ...

Pharmacokinetic engineering of clickable radioligands was achieved via albumin hitchhiking approach within a pretargeted radiotheranostics delivery platform. This approach reduced rapid renal elimination, expanded bioorthogonal capture window, boosted tumor uptake by ∼3.5‐fold, and improved the tumor‐to‐liver ratio by ∼6‐fold.

The Y supersaturation in the [Ba‐Cu(I/II)‐O] transient liquid composition is the driving force toward YBCO nucleation and growth in TLAG. Tuning the initial (Ba:Cu) molar ratio in the ink composition determines the YBCO epitaxial nucleation through supersaturation control.

Ignoring discards biases the assessment of fisheries\u27 ecological fingerprint
Understanding the pressures of fisheries on the ecosystem is crucial for effective management. Fishery removals, or catch, are composed of both landings and discards.

Bioorthogonal chemistry was applied to intracellularly photoactivate Doxorubicin (Dox) using gold nanostars (AuNSt) and near‐infrared (NIR) light. Two prodrugs were used: one photoactivatable, masked with 2‐nitrobenzyl carbamate (proDox1) and another photolabile, masked with 2‐nitrobenzyl diol (proDox2), which was attached to the AuNSt surface.

Discards monitoring in the Gillnet Sole Fishery
The Gillnet Sole Fishery Study Group started discards monitoring. Data were supposed to be collected in three different ways: Self-sampling, catch monitoring by means of onboard cameras (CCTV) and monitoring under the Data Collection ...
