Measuring Irrigation Well Discharges

Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1999
Irrigation wells frequently discharge directly into canals. Upstream elbows, the pump head, or other pipe fittings may produce a distorted flow profile that is detrimental to the proper installation and operation of commonly available pipe meters. Before attempts to condition the flow with longer discharge piping or straightening vanes, it is desirable

Probe measurements in anisotropic discharges

Journal of Applied Physics, 2003
A current–voltage characteristic of one-side planar and cylindrical probes was considered for the use in the determination of plasma parameters when the electron velocity distribution functions (EVDFs) were significantly anisotropic. The EVDFs, space potential, and rates of inelastic process in pulse modulated and stratified discharges were obtained ...

Discharge measurement structures

2017
This chapter introduces calculation procedures for discharge measurement structures. It focuses on a rational expression for discharge in terms of typical flow quantities and the geometry of the structure. The chapter presents the general one-dimensional flow equations, and a demonstration that critical flow can occur if either the cross-sectional area

Measurement of River Discharge

Journal AWWA, 1925
of usefulness grew until today they assist in the solution of problems that affect every citizen. The number of measuring stations in operation has grown from a few in the early 90's to nearly 1700 this year. During the fiscal year of 1924 there were made approximately 12,000 regular and miscellaneous discharge measurements. These statements refer only

Discharge detection and measurements

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1965
Discharge measurements provide a sensitive, nondestructive means of detecting minute defects in insulation. The successful application of discharge-detection techniques depends on an appreciation of the following: the conditions in which discharges occur, the factors which affect the discharge magnitude and recurrence frequency, and the various ...

Mobile Discharge Measurement

2010
The discharge of a sewer has to be determined often over a short period only. This can serve as design basis, and an accurate discharge measurement is required only later. In this chapter, the so-called mobile discharge measurement for rectangular, trapezoidal and circular profiles is introduced.

Intelligent partial discharge measurement device

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2002
This paper introduces a entirely new intelligent partial discharge measurement device that integrates with a microcomputer, A/D, time series control and the filter amplifier circuit for analog signal. It has four independent parallel A/D channels, the highest sampling frequency is 20 MHz and data store is 512 K.

Discharge Measurement in Circular Sewer

Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1997
The Sector Venturi is a novel design to determine discharge in sewers. Its main features are simplicity, accuracy of ±5%, and low cost. Further, the modular limit is comparable to standard flumes, and the capacity is equal to similar devices. Based on an optimization procedure, the best geometry was retained.

LEMKE: Partial Discharge Measurements

2017
The LEMKE Partial Discharge Measurements dataset includes ASCII file outputs from PD testing of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene film samples using a LEMKE LDS-6 measurement system. Files include PD magnitude, phase, and period number (please note voltage measurements are not valid, the correct applied RMS voltage is in the file name).
