Method of real discharge magnitude estimation

2004 International Conference on Power System Technology, 2004. PowerCon 2004., 2005
Partial discharge in electrical equipment can give rise to deterioration in insulating material. Therefore, partial discharge detection and assessment play an important part in detecting insulating states of electrical equipment. However, a device for measuring partial discharge is only able of obtaining apparent discharge magnitude, not that of real ...

A Novel Method of Ascospore Discharge

Mycologia, 1919
It has been generally observed that ascospores are discharged commonly from the apex of the ascus which ruptures at this point just before the ascospores are liberated. A few forms, such as Claz, iceps, have also been reported where the ascospores are discharged through the lower end of the ascus when it is torn from the perithecial base.

SIMPLE METHOD OF RECORDING VAGINAL DISCHARGES

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1914
Having read with interest Mcfarlane's article 1 on "A Graphic Menstrual Chart," I tried to introduce her method of graphically recording the patient's menstrual history in the gynecologic ward of the Hospital O'Horan of this city, of which I am the surgeon.

Address methods for D. C. gas discharge display panels

1969 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1969
Companion papers by Weston and Hall of the Mullard Research Laboratories and by de Boer of the Philips Research Laboratories, Eindhoven, discuss new dc gas discharge displays, including those with recessed cathodes and with resistive coated anode wire. Simultaneously with this work, the authors and their colleagues in both laboratories are studying the

Method for discharging an electrochemical generator

2022
Disclosed is a method for discharging an electrochemical generator (10) comprising a negative electrode (20) containing lithium or sodium and a positive electrode (30), the method comprising a discharging step during which the electrochemical generator (10) is brought into contact with an ionic liquid solution (100) containing a solvent ionic liquid ...

Analytical methods for calculating sprinkler discharge

Fire Technology, 1972
Often it is difficult to reconcile experimentally determined sprinkler system flows and pressures with values calculated by the usual methods. Improved accuracy and greater simplicity can be obtained by using a discharge formula derived in terms of total pressure by use of Bernoulli’s Equation, modified for use with normal pressures.

Comparison of two partial discharge classification methods

2010 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2010
Two signal classification methods have been examined to discover their suitability for the task of partial discharge (PD) identification. An experiment has been designed to artificially mimic signals produced by a range of PD sources that are known to occur within high voltage (HV) items of plant.

Fitting IP discharges by Prony's method

1987
Analysis of discharge curves in time-domain IP experiments is the key step from data acquisition to interpretation, and hence requires major effort to improve accuracy and reliability. Under the assumption that discharge curves may be represented by a superposition of real exponentials, we present in this paper a method of analysis based on Prony’s ...

Two Photographic Methods of Studying High-Voltage Discharges

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1923
This paper presents some of the results of two methods of drawing out the alternating-current corona discharge along a time axis. The first method consists in photographing, with the usual camera, the discharge from a needle point revolved by the alternator which is the source of supply for the high-voltage transformer.
