External investigations and disciplinary sanctions against auditors: the impact on audit quality [PDF]

In this paper, we provide empirical evidence for the impact of disciplinary sanctions imposed on Spanish auditing firms and their engagement partners. The disciplinary sanctions resulted from external investigations, which revealed misapplications of auditing standards.

TRAIP Mediates Alcohol‐Induced Liver Injury through Regulating β‐catenin Ubiquitin Degradation via Direct Interaction

This study reveals that NF‐κB1‐driven TRAIP upregulation in ALD correlates with disease severity. Mechanistically, TRAIP directly binds β‐catenin via its CC domain and promotes its K48‐linked ubiquitination and degradation, which is independent of the GSK3β/β‐TrCP pathway.

Pre‐Regenerative Endothelial Cells Empowered by Antler Blood Exosomes Orchestrate Peripheral Nerve Repair

The pre‐regenerative vascular niche (PVN) is essential for nerve repair, yet its endothelial blueprint remains unclear. We identified angiogenic ECs (AECs) as the dominant pre‐regenerative subset and found that antler blood–derived exosomes (AB‐EXO) promote repair via IMP3.

Local stress concentration disrupts metabolic homeostasis and induces inflammation in the nucleus pulposus (NP), thereby accelerating intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). A biomimetic HA/ChS hydrogel millimeter sphere (ChS@HM) is developed to enable synergistic stress dispersion and sustained hydration lubrication.

EphB1‐Mediated Transient Blood‐Brain Barrier Opening Facilitates a Ferritin‐Based Nanotherapeutic for Alzheimer's Disease

We constructed a brain‐targeted AFn‐DPZ nanodrug delivery system and identified EphB1 as its receptor on the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This system facilitates drug transport across the BBB and thereby ameliorates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease.
