This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

A Discrete Dynamic Programming Approximation to the Multiobjective Deterministic Finite Horizon Optimal Control Problem [PDF]
Summary: This paper addresses the problem of finding an approximation to the minimal element set of the objective space for the class of multiobjective deterministic finite horizon optimal control problems. The objective space is assumed to be partially ordered by a pointed convex cone containing the origin.

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

Discrete approximate optimal vibration control for nonlinear vehicle active suspension [PDF]
This paper presents the approximate optimal vibration control methodology for discrete nonlinear vehicle active suspension subject to persistent road disturbances. Based on a dynamic model of nonlinear vehicle active suspension and a linear exogenous system model of the persistent road disturbances, a nonlinear two-point boundary value (TPBV) problem ...

ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

An improvement algorithm based on local approximations of the reachable set of a time-discrete optimal control problem is considered. Conditions are obtained that ensure the relaxation of the algorithm and the connection with the necessary optimality conditions.

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.
