Practical realizations of 3D forward/inverse separable discrete transforms, such as Fourier transform, cosine/sine transform, etc. are frequently the principal limiters that prevent many practical applications from scaling to a large number of processors.

The Discrete Cosine Transform on Triangles [PDF]
The discrete cosine transform is a valuable tool in analysis of data on undirected rectangular grids, like images. In this paper it is shown how one can define an analogue of the discrete cosine transform on triangles. This is done by combining algebraic signal processing theory with a specific kind of multivariate Chebyshev polynomials.

A graphene‐based bowtie plasmonic nanotweezer is designed and optimized using particle swarm optimization and transfer matrix analysis. The structure achieves strong field confinement, delivering trapping forces up to 6 nN W−1 for 10 nm bioparticles with sixfold lower power requirements than conventional designs.

On the Irresistible Efficiency of Signal Processing Methods in Quantum Computing [PDF]
We show that many well-known signal transforms allow highly efficient realizations on a quantum computer. We explain some elementary quantum circuits and review the construction of the Quantum Fourier Transform.

Color Image Steganography Based on Discrete Wavelet and Discrete Cosine Transforms
The secure data transmission over internet is achieved using Steganography. It is the art and science of concealing information in unremarkable cover media so as not to arouse an observer’s suspicion.
