Updated semi‐discretization method for periodic delay‐differential equations with discrete delay
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2004AbstractAn updated version of the semi‐discretization method is presented for periodic systems with a single discrete time delay. The delayed term is approximated as a weighted sum of two neighbouring discrete delayed state values and the transition matrix over a single period is determined.

Semi‐discretization method for delayed systems
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2002AbstractThe paper presents an efficient numerical method for the stability analysis of linear delayed systems. The method is based on a special kind of discretization technique with respect to the past effect only. The resulting approximate system is delayed and also time periodic, but still, it can be transformed analytically into a high‐dimensional ...

On delayed discrete evolutionary dynamics
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2012We examine the asymptotic stability of equilibria where individuals react to delayed information and the delays are heterogeneously distributed. For symmetric games with binary actions, we derive conditions under which the stability/instability of equilibria does not depend on the delay distribution.

Delayed Detectability of Discrete Event Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013In this paper, we extend detectability to delayed detectability in order to answer the following question. After observing k1+k2 observable events, can we determine the state of a system at the time when the k1th event was observed? If the answer is yes, we say that the system is delayed detectable. It involves two delays: the prior delay k1 before the

Discretization of frequencies in delay coupled oscillators
Physical Review E, 2005We study the dynamics of two mutually coupled chaotic oscillators with a time delayed coupling. Due to the delay, the allowed frequencies of the oscillators are shown to be discretized. The phenomenon is observed in the case when the delay is much larger than the characteristic period of the solitary uncoupled oscillator.

SYNCHRONIZATION AND DESYNCHRONIZATION IN A DELAYED DISCRETE NEURAL NETWORK
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2007In this paper, we consider a delayed discrete neural network of two identical neurons with excitory interactions. After investigating the stability of the given system, we establish a new scheme, and use the scheme to analyze the possible bifurcations occurring in the model.
