Influence of Frequency-Sweep on Discrete and Continuous Phase Distributions Generated in Alkali-Metal Vapours

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
This paper describes a comparable study on the influence of frequency-sweep on the discrete and continuous phase distributions associated with pulse excitations for a double-lambda atomic system in alkali-metal vapours with a hyperfine structure.

Integer valued autoregressive processes with generalized discrete Mittag-Leffler marginals

open access: yesStatistica, 2013
In this paper we consider a generalization of discrete Mittag-Leffler distributions. We introduce and study the properties of a new distribution called geometric generalized discrete Mittag-Leffler distribution.

Multiple Phase Stepping Generation in Alkali Metal Atoms: A Comparative Theoretical Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
We theoretically demonstrated optical phase switches in light storage-like experiments. Typical light storage (LS) and retrieval experiments consist of the probe field in the probe channel with writing and reading fields across the drive branch, as well ...

A Statistical Model for Count Data Analysis and Population Size Estimation: Introducing a Mixed Poisson–Lindley Distribution and Its Zero Truncation

open access: yesAxioms
Count data consists of both observed and unobserved events. The analysis of count data often encounters overdispersion, where traditional Poisson models may not be adequate. In this paper, we introduce a tractable one-parameter mixed Poisson distribution,

Accuracy of Approximation for Discrete Distributions

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2016
The paper is a contribution to the problem of estimating the deviation of two discrete probability distributions in terms of the supremum distance between their generating functions over the interval [0,1].

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Discrete Power Distributions and Inference Using Likelihood

open access: yesStatistica, 2019
Discrete power distributions are proposed and studied, by considering the positive jumps on the discontinuities of an original discrete distribution function.

Discrete Tempered Stable Distributions [PDF]

open access: yesMethodology and Computing in Applied Probability, 2021
A discrete tempered stable (DTS) random variable \(X\) with parameters \(\alpha\in(0,1)\) and \(\eta\geq0\), and with tempering function \(q\) satisfying \(\lim_{x\downarrow0}q(x)=1\) and \(\mathrm{ess}\sup q(x)

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
