Reachability in Biochemical Dynamical Systems by Quantitative Discrete Approximation (extended abstract)

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, a novel computational technique for finite discrete approximation of continuous dynamical systems suitable for a significant class of biochemical dynamical systems is introduced.

A Thermodynamic 3D Model for the Simulation of Diffusion‐Controlled Alloying Processes in Heterogeneous Material Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

RANDOMLY GENERATED FUZZY DISCRETE DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate
This paper aims to introduce the concept of a fuzzy discrete dynamical system as a fuzzy subgroupoid of X×Z×X, with Z representing the group of integer numbers.

Dynamics of a Conformable Fractional Order Generalized Richards Growth Model on Star Network with N=20 Nodes

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal
In this study, we analyze dynamical behavior of the conformable fractional order Richards growth model. Before examining the analysis of the dynamical behavior of the fractional continuous time model, the model is reduced to the system of difference ...

Stability and Bifurcation Analysis of a Discrete Singular Bioeconomic System

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2021
The main concern of this paper is to discuss stability and bifurcation analysis for a class of discrete predator-prey interaction with Holling type II functional response and harvesting effort. Firstly, we establish a discrete singular bioeconomic system,

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Dynamical complexities in a discrete-time food chain [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Ecology and Software, 2012
In this paper, a discrete-time food chain characterized by three species is modeled by a system of three nonlinear difference equations. The existence and local stability of the equilibrium points of the discrete dynamical system are analyzed.

Dynamics of Nonautonomous Discrete Dynamical Systems

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we study the dynamics of a general non-autonomous dynamical system generated by a family of continuous self maps on a compact space $X$. We derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the system to exhibit complex dynamical behavior. In the process we discuss properties like transitivity, weakly mixing, topologically mixing, minimality,

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Reduction of Oxide Inclusions During the High‐Frequency Welding of Steel via a Nonthermal Ar/H2 Plasma Jet

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...
