This paper presents a parallel implementation of a kind of discrete Fourier transform (DFT): the vector-valued DFT. The vector-valued DFT is a novel tool to analyze the spectra of vector-valued discrete-time signals.

The generalized discrete fourier transform for the computation of the DFT on large sets of data
In this paper we consider a generalized form of the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), called Generalized Discrete Fourier Transform (GFT). Two fast algorithms are given that allow us to obtain a one-dimensional GFT by evaluating a proper multidimensional GFT.

On the diagonalization of the discrete Fourier transform [PDF]
The discrete Fourier transform (DFT) is an important operator which acts on the Hilbert space of complex valued functions on the ring Z/NZ. In the case where N=p is an odd prime number, we exhibit a canonical basis of eigenvectors for the DFT. The transition matrix from the standard basis to the canonical basis defines a novel transform which we call ...

DCT/DST-based frequency modulated-OFDM
Among the recent advancements in waveform design for wireless communication, the frequency-modulated orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (FM-OFDM) has gained attention due to its resilience to phase noise and Doppler spread, as well as its zero-dB

Estimation of Synchrophasors in Intelligent Electrical Networks: from Models to Design Restrictions
We first present a detailed review of two popular classes of model based synchrophasor estimators. They are the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and the Taylor-Fourier transform (TFT) class estimators, which arise from constant or polynomial phasor ...

Spectral phase: from basics to video-rate application to tuning-fork resonance characterization
Whereas graduated students are usually familiar with Fourier spectra, the spectral phase remains often mysterious to them. This paper proposes a “hands on.approach of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and spectral phase. In a first part, basics of DFT are

Discrete Fourier Transforms: DtFT and DFT
In this chapter we investigate a big family of Fourier transforms: continuous Fourier transform (CFT), Fourier series (FS), discrete-time Fourier transform (DtFT), and discrete Fourier transform (DFT). The DFT, in its fast form (FFT), is probably one of the most frequently used orthogonal transforms in the world apart from the discrete cosine transform
