Evaluation of two-dimensional discrete Fourier transforms via generalized FFT algorithms
ICASSP '81. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005In this paper two-dimensional fast Fourier transforms (FFT's) are expressed as special cases of a generalization of the one-dimensional Cooley-Tukey algorithm. This generalized algorithm allows the efficient evaluation of discrete Fourier transforms (DFT's) of rectangularly sampled sequences, hexagonally sampled sequences and arbitrary periodically ...

Mathematical background for generalized, partial, and incomplete discrete Fourier transforms
ICASSP '80. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005We develop the theory of generalized discrete Fourier transforms (GDFTs) from the point of view of the Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT). We give a new definition of GDFT, and apply it to the construction of multidimensional convolution algorithms which require significantly fewer multiplications and data transfer operations than the usual methods.

Microwave Waveform Generation via Discrete Fourier Transform of Modulated Optical Pulse Train
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2018A new scheme of microwave waveform generation is experimentally demonstrated utilizing envelope detection of optical waveform generated from discrete Fourier transform of modulated optical pulse trains. Programmable triangular and rectangular microwave waveforms are synthesized.

Reconfigurable Envelope Generation of Optical Pulse Train Based on Discrete Fourier Transform
IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2018We experimentally demonstrate a fiber-based reconfigurable system for programming the envelope of high-speed optical pulse train by using fractional-rate multilevel amplitude modulation. Amplitude-modulated optical pulse trains undergo the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) realized by the temporal Talbot effect in a dispersive fiber.

Image encryption via discrete fractional Fourier-type transforms generated by random matrices
Signal Processing: Image Communication, 2016One of the major application areas of the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) and the discrete fractional Fourier transforms (DFrFT) is in signal and information security, particularly in signal and image encryption. Recently, many researchers proposed techniques that implemented not only the fractional transforms, but also various randomized versions ...
