In this research, it is demonstrated that dual nitrogen and sulfur doping in hollow carbon spheres creates a tunable coordination environment that stabilizes cationic Pd single atoms as robust organometallic complexes, enabling high selectivity and stability for electrochemical hydrogen peroxide production under harsh acidic and peroxide‐rich ...

Quantum Computing and a Unified Approach to Fast Unitary Transforms
A quantum computer directly manipulates information stored in the state of quantum mechanical systems. The available operations have many attractive features but also underly severe restrictions, which complicate the design of quantum algorithms.

The Chromatic Fourier Transform
We develop a general theory of higher semiadditive Fourier transforms that includes both the classical discrete Fourier transform for finite abelian groups at height $n=0$ , as well as a certain duality for the $E_n$ -(co)homology of $\pi

Apatite occurs in many forms in nature, e.g. in teeth and geological minerals. Internally, biological apatite contains nanocrystals that are also found in synthetically prepared calcium phosphate nanoparticles which are used in biomedicine, e.g. for gene and drug delivery and for bone regeneration. Abstract Calcium phosphate is the inorganic component (

Generalized Discrete Fourier Transform for FBMC Peak to Average Power Ratio Reduction [PDF]
Filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) is a strong candidate as a waveform based technique in advanced wireless communication systems (e.g. 5G), as an alternative to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Like all multicarrier modulation techniques, FBMC suffers from high levels of a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR).

This review highlights how machine learning (ML) algorithms are employed to enhance sensor performance, focusing on gas and physical sensors such as haptic and strain devices. By addressing current bottlenecks and enabling simultaneous improvement of multiple metrics, these approaches pave the way toward next‐generation, real‐world sensor applications.

The ultrahard teeth of mollusks that feed on rocky substrates contain a wear‐resistant coating on their surfaces consisting of densely packed mesocrystalline magnetic nanoparticles within an organic matrix. These coatings display significant hardness and toughness through their highly controlled mesocrystalline architectures.

On the Mathematics of Music: From Chords to Fourier Analysis [PDF]
Mathematics is a far reaching discipline and its tools appear in many applications. In this paper we discuss its role in music and signal processing by revisiting the use of mathematics in algorithms that can extract chord information from recorded music.
