Logarithm of the Discrete Fourier Transform
The discrete Fourier transform defines a unitary matrix operator. The logarithm of this operator is computed, along with the projection maps onto its eigenspaces. A geometric interpretation of the discrete Fourier transform is also given.

Comparison of discrete transforms for deep‐neural‐networks‐based speech enhancement
In recent studies of speech enhancement, a deep‐learning model is trained to predict clean speech spectra from the known noisy spectra of speech. Rather than using the traditional discrete Fourier transform (DFT), this paper considers other well‐known ...

A Variable-Scale Coherent Integration Method for Moving Target Detection in Wideband Radar
Accurate integration of the extended target’s energy is one of the important challenges of moving target detection in wideband radar. In this paper, a coherent integration method for wideband radar, i.e., variable-scale moving target detection (VSMTD ...

Random Access Preamble Generation with Low Storage for LTE Networks
Long Term Evolution (LTE) random access preambles are generated from cyclically shifted Zadoff-Chu(ZC) sequences of prime length by using so-called Discrete Fourier Transformation-Spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM) modulation.

Uncertainty Relation for the Discrete Fourier Transform [PDF]
We derive an uncertainty relation for two unitary operators which obey a commutation relation of the form UV=exp[i phi] VU. Its most important application is to constrain how much a quantum state can be localised simultaneously in two mutually unbiased bases related by a Discrete Fourier Transform.

Fast calculation algorithm for discrete resonance-based band-pass filter
A discrete resonant band-pass filter with a fast calculation algorithm, which can be used to perform discrete frequency transformations, is presented. The algorithm has low memory consumption requirements.
