This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

A combinatorial approach to discrete geometry
We present a paralell approach to discrete geometry: the first one introduces Voronoi cell complexes from statistical tessellations in order to know the mean scalar curvature in term of the mean number of edges of a cell.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

How Nonassociative Geometry Describes a Discrete Spacetime
Nonassociative geometry, providing a unified description of discrete and continuum spaces, is a valuable candidate for the study of discrete models of spacetime. Within the framework of nonassociative geometry we propose a model of emergent spacetime. In

Discrete Lagrangian field theories on Lie groupoids [PDF]
We present a geometric framework for discrete classical field theories, where fields are modeled as "morphisms" defined on a discrete grid in the base space, and take values in a Lie groupoid.

Multiscale Discrete Geometry [PDF]
This paper presents a first step in analyzing how digital shapes behave with respect to multiresolution. We first present an analysis of the covering of a standard digital straight line by a multiresolution grid. We then study the multi-resolution of Digital Straight Segments (DSS): we provide a sublinear algorithm computing the exact characteristics ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Estimating the normal vector field on the boundary of discrete 3D objects is essential for rendering and image measurement problems. Most of the existing algorithms do not provide an accurate determination of the normal vector field for shapes that ...

On organizing principles of Discrete Differential Geometry. Geometry of spheres
Discrete differential geometry aims to develop discrete equivalents of the geometric notions and methods of classical differential geometry. In this survey we discuss the following two fundamental Discretization Principles: the transformation group ...
