A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

ID-based on-line/off-line threshold signature scheme without bilinear pairing
Based on the distributed key generation (DKG) protocol and verifiable secret sharing (VSS) protocol,an identity-based on-line/off-line threshold signature scheme was proposed in order to eliminate the cost of the certificate management in the public key ...

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.

More serious chattering emerges in discrete systems of sliding mode control. The paper presents a sliding mode-like fuzzy logic control design, which eliminates the chattering, for a class of discrete nonlinear systems with multiple variables. First, the

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Orthogonal polynomials with discrete spectra on the real line
\(\{\) \(P_ n(x)\}\) is a sequence of polynomials, orthogonal w.r.t. a distribution function \(\psi\) (x) with support S(\(\psi)\), and satisfying \(P_ n=(x-c_ n)P_{n-1}-\lambda_ nP_{n-2},\quad P_{-1}\equiv 0,\quad P_ 0\equiv 1,\quad c_ n\in {\mathbb{R}},\) \(\lambda_ n>0\), for all n. Let \(\{x_{n,1}\}^ n_{i=1}\) be the (simple real) zeros of \(P_ n\)

Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...
