Shapley Additive Explanation for Local Class Differentiation: Local Explainability for Class Differentiation in Classification Models

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
An instance‐level, model‐agnostic explanation of class differentiation is introduced through SHAP‐LCD, linking probability shifts to feature‐wise Shapley contributions. The method operates on tabular and image data and is released in a fully reproducible implementation, offering a transparent way to examine, at each instance, why predictive models ...

A note on cyclic groups, finite fields, and the discrete logarithm problem

open access: yes, 1992
We show how the discrete logarithm problem in some finite cyclic groups can easily be reduced to the discrete logarithm problem in a finite field. The cyclic groups that we consider are the set of points on a singular elliptic curve over a finite field ...

Driver Behavior Modeling with Subjective Risk‐Driven Inverse Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A subjective risk‐driven inverse reinforcement learning framework is proposed to model driver decision‐making. It infers drivers' risk perception and risk tolerance from driving data. A learnable risk threshold is used to regulate decisions, enabling interpretable and human‐like driving behavior decisions.

A Quantum ``Magic Box\u27\u27 for the Discrete Logarithm Problem

open access: yes, 2017
In their foundational paper on pseudorandom bit generation, Blum and Micali showed that the discrete logarithm problem could be solved efficiently given a ``magic box\u27\u27 oracle that computes the most significant bit of the discrete logarithm with a ...

Time‐Delayed Spiking Reservoir Computing Enables Efficient Time Series Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study proposes time‐delayed spiking reservoir computing (TDSRC) for efficient time series prediction. By concatenating time‐lagged states, TDSRC constructs an expanded readout feature vector without altering internal reservoir dynamics. This approach enables highly accurate forecasting with significantly fewer neurons, providing a resource ...

The Discrete Logarithm Problem on Elliptic Curves of Trace One

open access: yes, 1997
In this short note we describe an elementary technique which leads to a linear algorithm for solving the discrete logarithm problem on elliptic curves of trace one.

A Two‐Stage Characterization Pipeline and Open‐Source Framework for Reproducible Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
The same soft tactile sensor returns different numbers when embodied in different robots. This is an Embodiment Gap that no shared framework currently captures transparently. A two‐stage characterization pipeline, paired with a FAIR open‐source digital datasheet, decouples intrinsic sensor behavior from embodiment effects and condenses cross‐laboratory
