On Discrete Conformal Seamless Similarity Maps
An algorithm for the computation of global discrete conformal parametrizations with prescribed global holonomy signatures for triangle meshes was recently described in [Campen and Zorin 2017]. In this paper we provide a detailed analysis of convergence and correctness of this algorithm. We generalize and extend ideas of [Springborn et al. 2008] to show

Reductionist modeling of calcium-dependent dynamics in recurrent neural networks
Mathematical analysis of biological neural networks, specifically inhibitory networks with all-to-all connections, is challenging due to their complexity and non-linearity.

On the lower bound error for discrete maps using associative property
This paper introduces a class of pseudo-orbits which guarantees the same lower bound error (LBE) for two different natural interval extensions of discrete maps.

Yang–Baxter maps, discrete integrable equations and quantum groups
For every quantized Lie algebra there exists a map from the tensor square of the algebra to itself, which by construction satisfies the set-theoretic Yang–Baxter equation.

Digital Cognitive Testing in Mitochondrial Disease: Validity and Challenges for Clinical Trial Use
ABSTRACT Background Primary mitochondrial disease is a group of genetic disorders caused by pathogenic variants in nuclear or mitochondrial DNA, often resulting in progressive neurodegeneration and cognitive decline. Current management is primarily supportive, though recent research offers hope for disease‐modifying treatments in the future.

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Projective Synchronization of Chaotic Systems Via Backstepping Design
Chaos synchronization of discrete dynamical systems is investigated. An algorithm is proposed for projective synchronization of chaotic 2D Duffing map and chaotic Tinkerbell map. The control law was derived from the Lyapunov stability theory.

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES ON A SET OF DISCRETE DYNAMICAL SYSTEM AND A SET OF PROFILE
A discrete dynamical system is represented as a directed graph with graph nodes called states that can be seen on the dynamical map. This discrete dynamical system is symbolized by , where is a finite set of states and the function g is a function ...

ABSTRACT Objective Progression independent of relapse activity is a major determinant of long‐term disability in multiple sclerosis, but its immunopathologic basis remains incompletely understood. We investigated whether relapse‐independent progression in radiologically stable relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis is associated with distinct ...
