Multiscale Modeling Framework Using Element‐Based Galerkin Methods for Moist Atmospheric Limited‐Area Simulations

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 17, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract This paper presents a multiscale modeling framework (MMF) to model moist atmospheric limited‐area weather. The MMF resolves large‐scale convection using a coarse grid while simultaneously resolving local features through numerous fine local grids and coupling them seamlessly.

A Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Simulating 3D Seismic Wave Propagation in Nonlinear Rock Models: Verification and Application to the Mw 7.8 2015 Gorkha, Nepal Earthquake

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 130, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract The nonlinear mechanical responses of rocks and soils to seismic waves play an important role in earthquake physics, influencing ground motion from source to site. Continuous geophysical monitoring, such as ambient noise interferometry, has revealed co‐seismic wave speed reductions extending tens of kilometers from earthquake sources. However,

Interaction design for open innovation platforms: A social exchange perspective

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, Volume 42, Issue 4, Page 641-678, July 2025.
Abstract We investigate the interaction design preferences of solution seekers and problem solvers on open innovation (crowdsourcing) platforms. Drawing on social exchange theory (SET), we hypothesize that seekers and solvers have different preferences for the configuration of four central interaction design features of a crowdsourcing platform ...

Mixed orthogonality graphs for continuous‐time state space models and orthogonal projections

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 692-726, July 2025.
In this article, we derive (local) orthogonality graphs for the popular continuous‐time state space models, including in particular multivariate continuous‐time ARMA (MCARMA) processes. In these (local) orthogonality graphs, vertices represent the components of the process, directed edges between the vertices indicate causal influences and undirected ...

Continuity of HYM connections with respect to metric variations

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 1, July 2025.
Abstract We investigate the set of (real Dolbeault classes of) balanced metrics Θ$\Theta$ on a balanced manifold X$X$ with respect to which a torsion‐free coherent sheaf E$\mathcal {E}$ on X$X$ is slope stable. We prove that the set of all such [Θ]∈Hn−1,n−1(X,R)$[\Theta] \in H^{n - 1,n - 1}(X,\mathbb {R})$ is an open convex cone locally defined by a ...
