An Evolutionary Multi-objective Discretization based on Normalized Cut [PDF]
Learning models and related results depend on the quality of the input data. If raw data is not properly cleaned and structured, the results are tending to be incorrect.

We propose a numerical scheme to solve the time dependent linear Schr\"odinger equation. The discretization is carried out by combining a Runge-Kutta time-stepping scheme with a finite element discretization in space.

Thermodynamics and Phase Transitions of Electrolytes on Lattices with Different Discretization Parameters [PDF]
Lattice models are crucial for studying thermodynamic properties in many physical, biological and chemical systems. We investigate Lattice Restricted Primitive Model (LRPM) of electrolytes with different discretization parameters in order to understand ...

In this paper, we define (strongly) ss-discrete, semi-ss-discrete and quasi-ss-discrete modules as a strongly notion of (strongly) discrete, semi-discrete and quasi-discrete modules with the help of ss-supplements in [3]. We examined the basic properties of these modules and included characterization of strongly ss-discrete modules over ...

Robust Discretization of Flow in Fractured Porous Media [PDF]
Flow in fractured porous media represents a challenge for discretization methods due to the disparate scales and complex geometry. Herein we propose a new discretization, based on the mixed finite element method and mortar methods.

Discretization methods for homogeneous fragmentations [PDF]
Homogeneous fragmentations describe the evolution of a unit mass that breaks down randomly into pieces as time passes. They can be thought of as continuous time analogs of a certain type of branching random walks, which suggests the use of time ...

Queueing systems with random resource requirements, in which an arriving customer, in addition to a server, demands a random amount of resources from a shared resource pool, have proved useful to analyze wireless communication networks.

Discrete Memristor and Discrete Memristive Systems
In this paper, we investigate the mathematical models of discrete memristors based on Caputo fractional difference and G–L fractional difference. Specifically, the integer-order discrete memristor is a special model of those two cases. The “∞”-type hysteresis loop curves are observed when input is the bipolar periodic signal.
