Machine Learning‐Enhanced Modular Ionic Skin for Broad‐Spectrum Multimodal Discriminability in Bidirectional Human–Robot Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐enhanced modular ionic skin with broad‐spectrum multimodal sensing is realized through a synergistic material–algorithm optimization strategy. This strategy involves hard‐segment‐modulated 1D/2D/3D‐ionic conductors and a data‐driven decoupling model trained on a curated multi‐stimuli dataset.

Ce Single Atom‐Engineered Amorphous/Crystalline Nanosheets for Enhanced Alkaline Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We leveraged Ce single‐atom engineering to generate short‐range ordered crystalline nanodomains in amorphous RuOx for creating amorphous/crystalline nanojunctions, in an effort to regulate the water dissociation kinetics for enhanced HER. Specifically, the Ce‐doped crystalline nanodomains greatly reduce the energy barrier to water dissociation and ...

Sugars in Antimicrobial Polymers – The Impact of Sugar‐Lectin Binding in Membrane Interaction of Cationic Glycopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Photo‐iniferter polymerization is used to create antimicrobial polymers which are decorated with sugar units by either copolymerization of glycomonomers or post‐polymerization functionalization. Although a selectivity based on lectin binding can not be observed, the presence of sugar leads to improved bioactivity based on the presence of neutral ...
