Active Metamaterials with Tunable Shear Nonreciprocity and Nonlinear Dynamics
Active gear‐based mechanical metamaterials enable simultaneous control of translational and torsional stiffnesses by 30–100×, break shear reciprocity under positive versus negative loads, broadly tune resonant frequencies, and offer programmable dynamic responses.

Evolutionary Assembly and Future Design of Gibberellin Signaling
ABSTRACT Gibberellin (GA) signaling is widely regarded as a canonical hormone‐controlled growth pathway, yet accumulating evidence suggests that it emerged through stepwise evolutionary assembly rather than as a pre‐formed regulatory system. Here, we revisit the origin and diversification of the GA pathway from an evolutionary perspective.

Intrinsic Mechanical Parameters and their Characterization in Solid‐State Lithium Batteries
This review focuses on the intrinsic mechanical parameters and their associated characterization in solid‐state batteries. The physical significance of mechanics parameters is introduced with exhaustive classifications by elastic, plastic deformations and fracture in bulk, adhesion, friction at interfaces, and mechanical fatigue in cells ...

Nietzsche’s polychrome exemplarism [PDF]
In this paper, I develop an account of Nietzschean exemplarism. Drawing on my previous work, I argue that an agent’s instincts and other drives constitute her psychological type. In this framework, a drive counts as a virtue to the extent that it is well-

Deciphering Intricacies in Directional CO2 Conversion From Electrolysis to CO2 Batteries
This review will delve into the inherent connections and distinctions of CO2‐directed conversion in ECO2RR and CO2 batteries, in terms of product types, catalyst selection, catalytic mechanisms, and electrochemical performances, while proposing a benchmarking framework for the evaluation of CO2 batteries and innovative CO2 battery configurations for ...

Does Contract Farming Improve Diet Quality? The Case of Senegalese Smallholders
ABSTRACT The institution of contract farming has gained prominence in most developing countries owing to its numerous benefits. While several studies have already highlighted the welfare benefits of contract farming, very few have investigated the effects on diet quality, despite poor quality diets being a serious challenge in most parts of the ...

Pupillary reactions depend on disgust sensitivity in conceptual pavlovian disgust conditioning
Exposure-based interventions rely on inhibitory learning, often studied through Pavlovian conditioning. While disgust conditioning is increasingly linked to psychiatric disorders, it has been less researched than fear conditioning. In this study, we applied a categorical Pavlovian disgust conditioning paradigm with two CS categories (animals and tools)
