Disinfection of Fiberscopes by Thermochemical Disinfection
Endoscopy, 1991A new fully automated washing and disinfection machine for fiberscopes was evaluated. This apparatus, the Endoscopic Thermo Disinfector (ETD) uses a combination of heat and a brand name disinfectant containing glutaraldehyde to fulfill its purposes. The disinfectant showed effective antibacterial activity at the concentrations used in the ETD.

Water disinfection and disinfection by products
Environmental Monitoring and AssessmentFor ecological safety and public health, it is essential to identify the causes of pollution in water sources and the effects of both natural and human activities. A class of secondary pollutants known as disinfection byproducts (DBPs) is produced when water is treated with disinfectant.
