ANN Modeling of Motional Resistance for Micro Disk Resonator

open access: yes, 2017
This article describes how modeling is an integral part of design and development of any system that provides the theoretical characterization of the system and helps in understanding the relations between various parameters of the system, before the ...

Robust and Thermally Stable Silicone Aerogels with Hyperconnected Network via Kinetically Optimized Hyperbranched Silane Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Reactivity‐Programmed Assembly: A kinetic‐control strategy is reported for constructing hyperconnected silicone aerogels with a robust “thick‐neck” architecture. By exploiting the reactivity disparity of precursors, flexible segments are uniformly embedded within a rigid skeleton.

Vertically driven resonances in accretion disks

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1981
We investigate the three-dimensional (3D) response of an accretion disk in a close binary system to tidal forcing. Both horizontal and vertical motions are generated in the disk. Resonances occur at radii where the tidal forcing frequency matches a natural frequency in the disk.

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

SETD1A Regulates Glycolysis and Senescence of Nucleus Pulposus Cells via H3K4me3–HELZ2/PPARα‐HIF1α Axis to Drive Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SETD1A is a key epigenetic regulator in NPCs during IDD. In normal NPCs, it sustains H3K4me3–HELZ2/PPARα–HIF1α signaling to maintain glycolytic energy metabolism and proliferation. In degenerated NPCs, reduced SETD1A disrupts this axis, impairing glycolysis and accelerating senescence, highlighting a promising therapeutic target for IDD.

Theoretical Analysis of Integrated Nanophotonic Q‐Switched Laser Based on Gain and Saturable Absorption by Two‐Dimensional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
A nanophotonic passively Q‐switched lasing element in the near infrared is proposed and theoretically investigated. It consists of a silicon‐rich nitride disk resonator enhanced with the contemporary MoS2/WSe2 hetero‐bilayer and a graphene monolayer to ...

Modulating the Charge Transfer Channels via Constructing Charge‐Assisted Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Frameworks for Enhanced Photosynthesis of Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports a strategy of engineering charge‐assisted hydrogen bonds to tailor charge transfer channels in HOFs, significantly improving their performance in photocatalytic H2O2 production. ABSTRACT The production of H2O2 via artificial photosynthesis is often limited by inefficient charge‐carrier separation, causing significant charge ...
