Resonance in two coupled circular microstrip disk resonators
Journal of Applied Physics, 1982A rigorous formulation to the problem of two coupled circular microstrip disk resonators is presented. Using the vector Hankel Transform, the problem is formulated in terms of a set of vector integral equations. The resonance in the two coupled resonators is then analyzed using two approaches: Galerkin’s method and a perturbative approach.

Terahertz disk resonator on a substrateless dielectric waveguide platform
Optics Letters, 2023Resonant cavities are fundamental to and versatile for terahertz integrated systems. So far, integrated resonant cavities have been implemented in relatively lossy terahertz platforms. In this Letter, we propose a series of integrated disk resonators built into a low-loss substrateless silicon waveguide platform, where the resonances and associated ...

Surface vibrational modes in disk-shaped resonators
Ultrasonics, 2014The natural frequencies and distributions of displacement components for the surface vibrational modes in thin isotropic elastic disks are calculated. In particular, the research is focused on even solutions for low-lying resonant vibrations with large angular wave numbers.

Behavioral Modeling of RF-MEMS Disk Resonator
2006 International Conference on MEMS, NANO, and Smart Systems, 2006This paper presents Behaviora I modeling of RF - MEMS disk resonator through driving its equivalent circuit model. The model is operating in the first two radial contour modes and the results were verified with ANSYS. A Pierce oscillator utilizing the resonator model is designed to demonstrate the performance of the model on the oscillator.

Analysis and Modeling of RF-MEMS Disk Resonator
2006 International Conference on MEMS, NANO, and Smart Systems, 2006This paper presents the analysis and modeling of MEMS disk resonator. The main parameters that describe the operation of the disk are the quality factor, natural frequency and equivalent mass. In this work the frequency relation versus Poisson's ratio of the material and a general equation for the equivalent mass of disk resonator are obtained for ...

Frequency symmetry of a cobweb-like disk resonator gyroscope (CDRG) has been compared with a conventional ring-like disk resonant gyroscope (RDRG) in this letter to corroborate that linear beam structures have a better process tolerance than curved beam structures for micro-fabrication processes. The CDRG comprises multiple concentric cobweb-like rings

A review on the performance parameters of disk resonators
2016 International Conference on Control, Instrumentation, Communication and Computational Technologies (ICCICCT), 2016This paper reviews the performance parameters of various disk resonators based on different transduction methods available. MEMS resonators are more advantageous when compared to conventional resonators due to their small size. It is found that Q-factor (Q) increases with decrease in the energy density of the material while keeping all other geometries

Vibrations of circular disk dielectric resonators
Proceedings of the 1992 IEEE Frequency Control Symposium, 1993Two-dimensional equations for guided electromagnetic waves propagating in a dielectric plate surrounded by free space were recently derived from the three-dimensional Maxwell’s equations. These equations are employed for the study of vibrations of circular disk dielectric resonators embedded in free space.

Results are presented for leucosapphire disk dielectric resonator temperature coefficient of frequency (TCF) dependence on temperature, disk configuration and a resonant mode type in the temperature range 70...350 K. It is found that the most intensively the enumerated factors influence resonant oscillations with HE-type polarization.
