Dynamic Analysis for a Disk‐Inertial‐Asymmetry Rotor System

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of a rotor with disk inertial asymmetry are investigated. A rotor model is developed using the Lagrange method, and a modal analysis technique based on Hill’s determinant is derived. The modal properties and dynamic responses of the asymmetrical rotor are then analyzed.

Decoupling of a Disk Resonator From Linear Acceleration Via Mass Matrix Perturbation

open access: yes, 2020
Axisymmetric microelectromechanical (MEM) vibratory rate gyroscopes are designed so the central post which attaches the resonator to the sensor case is a nodal point of the two Coriolis-coupled modes that are exploited for angular rate sensing.
