Disparity Vergence Dynamics and Fixation Disparity
American journal of optometry and physiological optic, 1986ABSTRACT The initial velocity of the vergence response to step changes in disparity was examined in two subjects as a function of the retinal locus and spatial frequency of fusion stimuli. Vergence velocity decreased for both subjects as retinal eccentricity increased and it was unaffected by spatial frequency.

An Objective Evaluation for Disparity Map Based on the Disparity Gradient and Disparity Acceleration
2009 International Conference on Information Technology and Computer Science, 2009In this paper, we present a novel objective approach to evaluate the disparity map quality. The two indices which are disparity gradient and disparity acceleration are first proposed for the evaluation of the disparity map. These two indices are under the assumption that the disparity map should be smooth in the natural scene.
