Is the future of the ATM past? [PDF]

open access: yes
Just over 40 years ago the first cash dispensers became operational in the UK. From its modest beginnings this industry specific application evolved into the backbone of self service technology.

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

Improved Direct Ink Writing of Liquid Metal Foams via Liquid Additives

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The ability to pattern liquid metal is useful for making soft electrical and thermal devices. Dispensing liquid metal from a nozzle naturally results in the formation of spheroidal droplets, making direct‐write printing challenging. Liquid metal foams containing pockets of air can extrude as filaments, albeit inconsistently.

The Debate on Influencing Doctors’ Decisions: Are Drug Characteristics the Missing Link? [PDF]

open access: yes
Decision-making by physicians on patients’ treatment has come under increased public scrutiny. In fact, there is a fair amount of debate on the effects of marketing actions of pharmaceutical firms toward physicians and their impact on physician ...

Pinch‐Off Mechanism of High‐Gain Organic Transistors with Field Plates: Statistical Analysis, Device Simulations and Compact Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Statistical analysis of over 3000 devices reveals a novel operating mechanism in printed organic thin‐film transistors featuring a grounded field plate beneath the source. The field plate governs the low and tunable pinch‐off, enabling excellent current saturation and ultra‐high gain.

Metal–Insulator–Insulator–Metal (MIIM) Ag/SnO2/Al2O3/Ag Diodes Fabricated by Ultraprecise Dispensing and Atomic Layer Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a new method for fabricating MIIM diodes using ultra‐precise dispensing printing techniques combined with ALD. Thus, it provides a practical alternative to traditional lithography. The fabricated diode, with a contact area of 5.4 µm × 4.0 µm exhibits a tunneling current in the microampere range, a zero‐bias responsivity of −1.31 A/

Impact of Processing Environment on Anti‐Solvent Free FAPbI3 Films and Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores the dependence of 2‐step FAPbI3 films and solar cells on the atmosphere and humidity during each processing step. In‐situ and ex‐situ characterizations are used to correlate film composition, structure, morphology, and intermediate phase evolution with solar cell performance and lifetime.
