A Proposed Method of Forming a Sodium Hexametaphosphate Film on the Fourdrinier Wire [PDF]
The addition of sodium hexametaphosphate to the white water system of the paper mill is an effective method of preventing pitch deposition. The ability of this compound to prevent pitch agglomeration is due to its tendency of forming monomolecular films ...

Isobornyl acrylate macromonomer solutions are synthesized via high‐temperature radical polymerization using a starved‐feed semi‐batch operating policy. Through sequential feeding, the macromonomer solution functions as an addition‐fragmentation agent, facilitating the production of blocky and comb acrylate copolymers.

Direct observation of a hydrophobic bond in loop-closure of a capped (-OCH2CH2-)n oligomer in water
The small r variation of the probability density P(r) for end-to-end separations of a -CH2CH3 capped (-OCH2CH2-)n oligomer in water is computed to be closely similar to the CH4 ... CH4 potential of mean force under the same circumstances.

Roughness Measurements at Small and Uneven Surfaces of Ceramic Foam Filters
ABSTRACT This study investigated the possibility of roughness characterization of ceramic foam filters using a laser scanning microscope, examining the influence of magnification, measured area, cutoff wavelength (λc), measured roughness parameter, and position within the ceramic foam on the measured roughness data. Firstly, the effect of magnification
