A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Synthesis and Characterization of Ethylene Carbonate Modified Polyisobutylene Succinimide Dispersants [PDF]
Succinimide-based dispersants are the most commonly used dispersants in the oil industry. They are used in engine oil to prevent the aggregation of carbon-rich particles generated during engine operation, and consequently reduce the production of sludge ...

Red‐emissive carbon dots (R‐CDs) exhibiting aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) and aggregation‐caused quenching (ACQ) effects are synthesized from citric acid and urea. They display weak blue fluorescence in water but strong red emission in DMF due to aggregation.
