Spike frequency adaptation supports network computations on temporally dispersed information [PDF]
For solving tasks such as recognizing a song, answering a question, or inverting a sequence of symbols, cortical microcircuits need to integrate and manipulate information that was dispersed over time during the preceding seconds.

Policy with Dispersed Information [PDF]
Information regarding economic fundamentals is widely dispersed in society, is only imperfectly aggregated through prices or other indicators of aggregate activity, and can not be centralized by the government or any other institution. In this paper we seek to identify policies that can improve the decentralized use of such dispersed information ...

Polymer matrix drives thermal stimulation-caused dynamic phosphorescence in dispersed chromophores [PDF]
Polymer matrix has been extensively explored for decades to achieve efficient room-temperature phosphorescence from dispersed chromophores. However, the impact of the polymer matrix on the optical characteristics of chromophores remains elusive.

About the processes of hydration and hardening of cement [PDF]
The paper deals with some poorly studied issues of cement hydration and hardening. It is shown that the interaction of cement with water begins with the attack of oxygen atoms of clinker minerals by water protons.

Most earth surfaces have undergone intensive land-use changes, creating habitat mosaics. Seed dispersal by animals is a crucial process in such mosaics, but community-wide studies comparing the functional complementarity and response to man-imposed ...

Stochastic loss reserving using individual information model with over-dispersed Poisson
For stochastic loss reserving, we propose an individual information model (IIM) which accommodates not only individual/micro data consisting of incurring times, reporting developments, settlement developments as well as payments of individual claims but ...

INFORMATION AND PRICE DISPERSION: THEORY AND EVIDENCE [PDF]
AbstractLimited information is the key element generating price dispersion in models of homogeneous‐goods markets. We show that the global relationship between information and price dispersion is an inverse‐U shape. We test this mechanism for the retail gasoline market using a new measure of information based on commuter data from Austria.

Macro‐financial volatility under dispersed information
We provide a production‐based asset pricing model with dispersed information and small deviations from full rational expectations. In the model, aggregate output and equity prices depend on the higher‐order beliefs about aggregate demand and individual stochastic discount factors.
