Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Determination and impact factor analysis of hydrodynamic dispersion coefficient within a gravel layer using an electrolyte tracer method

open access: yesInternational Soil and Water Conservation Research, 2016
Hydrodynamic dispersion is a measure for describing the process of solute transport in porous media. Characterizing the dispersion of water flow within gravel is essential for the prediction of solute transport especially nonpoint source pollutants ...

Classical dispersion-cancellation interferometry

open access: yes, 2007
Even-order dispersion cancellation, an effect previously identified with frequency-entangled photons, is demonstrated experimentally for the first time with a linear, classical interferometer.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Modeling the dispersion measure—redshift relation for fast radio bursts

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
This theoretical work investigates different models to predict the redshift of fast radio bursts (FRBs) from their observed dispersion measure (DM) and other reported properties.

Analysis of Dispersion Characteristics of Planar Waveguides via Multi-Order Interrogation of Integrated Bragg Gratings

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2012
We demonstrate experimentally a simple technique to measure the wavelength-dependent effective refractive index of a waveguide utilizing integrated Bragg grating structures.

Weighted survival functional entropy and its properties

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2023
The weighted generalized cumulative residual entropy is a recently defined dispersion measure. This article introduces a new uncertainty measure as a generalization of the weighted generalized cumulative residual entropy, called it the weighted ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Constraining the dispersion measure redshift relation with simulation-based inference

open access: yesThe Open Journal of Astrophysics
We use the dispersion measure (DM) of localised Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) to constrain cosmological and host galaxy parameters using simulation-based inference (SBI) for the first time.
