Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Biofilm formation on polyetheretherketone and titanium surfaces
Objective Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a polymer used in devices in orthopedic and dental rehabilitation. The aim of this in vitro study was to compare biofilm formation by a range of important oral bacterial species on PEEK, blasted PEEK, commercially

Odd- and Even-Order Dispersion Cancellation in Quantum Interferometry
We describe a novel effect involving odd-order dispersion cancellation. We demonstrate that odd- and even-order dispersion cancellation may be obtained in different regions of a single quantum interferogram using frequency-anticorrelated entangled photons and a new type of quantum interferometer.

Dispersion-cancelled biological imaging with quantum-inspired interferometry [PDF]
Quantum information science promises transformative impact over a range of key technologies in computing, communication, and sensing. A prominent example uses entangled photons to overcome the resolution-degrading effects of dispersion in the medical-imaging technology, optical coherence tomography.

Dysregulated TCA cycle contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we show that microglial isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a critical driver. Elevated IDH1 disrupts citrate metabolism and mitochondrial function, exacerbating AD pathology.

DNA Nanoarray for Multiplexed RNA Detection With Single‐Molecule Readout
A carrier‐based DNA nanoarray integrates programmable nucleic acid hybridization with solid‐state nanopore readout for direct RNA detection at single‐molecule resolution. A ternary encoding system enables 27 carriers with 81 addressable sensing sites, allowing the simultaneous identification of targets spanning a wide size range, from short microRNAs ...

Osteoblastic and Bacterial Response of Hybrid Dental Implants
Bacterial infections in dental implants generate peri-implantitis disease that causes bone loss and the mobility of the dental implant. It is well known that specific ranges of roughness favor the proliferation of bacteria, and it is for this reason that

Discovery of a Potent Fluorescence Polarization Probe for Identifying USP1 Allosteric Inhibitors
This study presents the first ubiquitin‐specific protease 1 (USP1) allosteric fluoroprobe and fluorescence polarization assay, enabling the differentiation of allosteric and catalytic site inhibitors. Further, a novel class of tetrahydroisoquinoline‐based USP1 inhibitors is designed, with compound 14a (USP1 IC50 = 29.9 nM) showing strong selectivity ...
