Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Study on influence of coal seam water content on effect of CO2 isobaric diffusion displacing CH4

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
In order to study the influence of moisture on the effect of CH4 replacement by CO2 injection in coal beds, a gas-containing multi-gas replacement experimental system developed independently was used to conduct CH4 and CO2 adsorption experiments on coal ...

Experimental study on improving oil recovery in fluvial reservoir with polymer solutions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
To study the displacement law of polymer flooding in fluvial reservoirs, physical simulation cores are designed according to the characteristics of strong planar heterogeneity in such reservoir systems.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

A new method for calculating volume sweep coefficient at different stages of water injection development

open access: yesYouqi dizhi yu caishoulu
The volume sweep coefficient is essential for evaluating the development effect and formulating development adjustment plans for oil fields. This paper aims to study the variation law of volume sweep coefficient in different stages of water injection ...

Displacement Efficiency of Cementing in Eccentric Annulus with Small Clearance

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2022
In the process of cementing in a small annular clearance,if the casing is eccentric seriously, drilling fluid might be detained in the narrow clearance of the annulus generally besides retention on both walls of the annulus. In order to improve the ...

Effect of polymer solution structure on displacement efficiency [PDF]

open access: yesPetroleum Science, 2012
In this paper, a series of experiments, including atomic force microscope (AFM), environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM), and core displacement tests were conducted to investigate the effect of polymer solution structure on solution properties and oil displacement efficiency.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...
