On cubic multisections of Eisenstein series [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A systematic procedure for generating cubic multisections of Eisenstein series is given. The relevant series are determined from Fourier expansions for Eisenstein series by restricting the congruence class of the summation index modulo three.

Potential compression of the musculocutaneous, median and ulnar nerves by a very rare variant of the coracobrachialis longus muscle

open access: yesFolia Morphologica, 2021
The coracobrachialis longus muscle (CBL) is an extremely rare variant of the coracobrachialis muscle (CRM). The CBL originates from the apex of the coracoid process together with the short head of the biceps brachii and inserts on the olecranon of the ...

Extremal properties for dissections of convex 3-polytopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
A dissection of a convex d-polytope is a partition of the polytope into d-simplices whose vertices are among the vertices of the polytope. Triangulations are dissections that have the additional property that the set of all its simplices forms a ...

Similar dissection of sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In 1994, Martin Gardner stated a set of questions concerning the dissection of a square or an equilateral triangle in three similar parts. Meanwhile, Gardner's questions have been generalized and some of them are already solved.

Geometric realizations of the accordion complex of a dissection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Consider $2n$ points on the unit circle and a reference dissection $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ of the convex hull of the odd points. The accordion complex of $\mathrm{D}_\circ$ is the simplicial complex of non-crossing subsets of the diagonals with even endpoints

Aortic Dissection [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, 2005
Aortic root enlargement is generally asymptomatic, with few clinical clues, but may be observed as an incidental finding on a chest x‐ray, echocardiogram, or contrast‐enhanced computerized tomogram of the chest. Aortic dissection is one of the most feared complications of hypertension.

A new type of the coracobrachialis muscle

open access: yesFolia Morphologica, 2023
The coracobrachialis muscle belongs to the anterior group of the brachial region. Its main functions are flexion and adduction at the glenohumeral joint.

Mathematical modeling of thrombus formation in idealized models of aortic dissection: Initial findings and potential applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Aortic dissection is a major aortic catastrophe with a high morbidity and mortality risk caused by the formation of a tear in the aortic wall. The development of a second blood filled region defined as the “false lumen” causes highly disturbed flow ...
