Disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis is an autosomal dominant condition that requires sun exposure for full expression. It affects only sun-exposed areas, with relative sparing of the face. In sun-damaged skin of Australians disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis is commonly mistaken for solar keratosis.

[Disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis].

The case of a disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis in a 55-year-old woman is reported which has developed since 10 years. Local application of vitamin-A-acid (retinoic acid) did not improve the dermatoses. The differential diagnosis and some therapeutical consequences (light protecting therapy) are shortly discussed.
