Dissimilar Joining by Ultrasonic Welding
Journal of Hunan University Natural Sciences, 2022Ultrasonic welding is a rapid process for thin sheet joining. The authors wanted to show the aluminum-copper dissimilar joining by the ultrasonic welding process in this work. Ultrasonic welding is a suitable and straightforward process to establish dissimilar joints between different metals.

Joining of dissimilar materials
SPIE Proceedings, 2003The combination of dissimilar materials is a challenging goal for the development of parts with locally optimized properties. The main goal of these developments are weight reduction, optimization of properties or the tailoring of the properties for specific applications in combination with an efficient joining technology.

THE JOINING OF DISSIMILAR METALS
1968Abstract : In the report, the dissimilar-metal joining between the following metals and alloys is emphasized: (1) aluminum, titanium, and beryllium, and their alloys, (2) refractory metals and alloys, and (3) high-strength steels and other high-strength, heat-resistant alloys.

Joining similar and dissimilar materials with GFRP
International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives, 2007Abstract FRP-joints were made between two components by winding a tow made of strong and stiff glass fibers. The tow was wetted with a suitable resin before it was wound. In a few hours the winding cures to give a strong and stiff joint. A T-joint between two pipes was selected as a specimen.

Simultaneous Joining and Forming of Dissimilar Steels by Electrically Assisted Pressure Joining
steel research international, 2022In the present study, simultaneous joining and forming of dissimilar steels Q235B (ball) and SCM435 (stud) by electrically assisted pressure joining (EAPJ) are experimentally investigated. The target product is intended with a dust‐cover ring in the stud head, then the electrodes and the stud head are designed accordingly so that the deformed stud head

Joining Dissimilar Metals With Transition Materials
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1976<div class="htmlview paragraph">Galvanic corrosion and mechanical properties are major design considerations for bimetallic assemblies. Galvanic corrosion can lead to rapid degradation while welding of dissimilar metals such as steel and aluminum can lead to reduced structural stability.
