Functional Model of Dissipative Fourth Order Differential Operators

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2013
In this paper, maximal dissipative fourth order operators with equal deficiency indices are investigated. We construct a self adjoint dilation of such operators.

Exact density matrix elements for a driven dissipative system described by a quadratic Hamiltonian

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
For a prototype quadratic Hamiltonian describing a driven, dissipative system, exact matrix elements of the reduced density matrix are obtained from a generating function in terms of the normal characteristic functions.

The functional model for maximal dissipative operators (translation form): An approach in the spirit of operator knots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this article we develop a functional model for a general maximal dissipative operator. We construct the selfadjoint dilation of such operators. Unlike previous functional models, our model is given explicitly in terms of parameters of the original ...

Relativistic dissipative fluid dynamics from the non-equilibrium statistical operator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We present a new derivation of second-order relativistic dissipative fluid dynamics for quantum systems using Zubarev’s formalism for the non-equilibrium statistical operator. In particular, we discuss the shear-stress tensor to second order in gradients

Hyperbolic ring based formulation for thermo field dynamics, quantum dissipation, entanglement, and holography

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
The classical and quantum formulations for open systems related to dissipative dynamics are constructed on a complex hyperbolic ring, following universal symmetry principles, and considering the double thermal fields approach for modeling the system of ...

Description of Maximally Dissipative Quasi-Differential Operators for First Order

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
In thiswork, the general form of maximally dissipative extensions of the minimaloperator generated by first order linear symmetric quasi-differentialexpression in the weighted Hilbert space of vector-functions at rightsemi-infinite interval has been ...

Exponential stabilty for a Timoshenko system with nonlocal delay

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2020
The purpose of this paper is to study  the Timoshenko system with nonlocal time-delayed condition. The well-posedness is proved  by Hille-Yosida theorem.

THE FINITE SECTION METHOD FOR DISSIPATIVE OPERATORS [PDF]

open access: yesMathematika, 2014
Summary: We show that for self-adjoint Jacobi matrices and Schrödinger operators, perturbed by dissipative potentials in \(\ell^1 (\mathbb N)\) and \(L^1(0,\infty )\), respectively, the finite section method does not omit any points of the spectrum. In the Schrödinger case, two different approaches are presented.

Dissipation-induced enhancement of quantum fluctuations

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We study a quantum harmonic oscillator linearly coupled through the position operator $\hat{q}$ to a first bath and through the momentum operator $\hat{p}$ to a second bath yielding an Ohmic–Drude dissipation.
