Spectral analysis of q-fractional Sturm-Liouville operators

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article, we study q-fractional Sturm-Liouville operators. Using by the functional method, we pass to a new operator. Then, showing that this operator is a maximal operator and constructing a self-adjoint dilation of the maximal dissipative ...

Operator dynamics in Lindbladian SYK: a Krylov complexity perspective

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We use Krylov complexity to study operator growth in the q-body dissipative Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, where the dissipation is modeled by linear and random p-body Lindblad operators.

Speeding up gate operations through dissipation

open access: yes, 2004
It is commonly believed that decoherence is the main obstacle to quantum information processing. In contrast to this, we show how decoherence in the form of dissipation can improve the performance of certain quantum gates. As an example we consider the realisations of a controlled phase gate and a two-qubit SWAP operation with the help of a single ...

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

Spectral analysis of singular Hamiltonian systems with an eigenparameter in the boundary condition

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
In this article we study a non-self-adjoint eigenparameter dependent singular differential 1D Hamiltonian system with the singular end points a and b in the Hilbert space $L_P^2((a,b);\mathbb{C}^2)$ and we consider that this 1D Hamiltonian system is ...

Four‐Point Bending Tests at High Temperatures on Commercial MgO‐C Refractory Bricks with and Without Recyclate Considering Different Carbon Contents

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Investigation of Oxygen‐Free Wetting Behavior of Aluminum on Copper via Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

Pick’s theorems for dissipative operators

open access: yesFilomat, 2016
Let H be a complex Hilbert space and let A be a bounded linear transformation on H. For a complex-valued function f, which is analytic in a domain D of the complex plane containing the spectrum of A, let f (A) denote the operator on H defined by means of the Riesz-Dunford integral.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Dual‐Mode Film Based on Highly Scattering Nanofibers and Upcycled Chips‐Bags for Year‐Round Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent radiative cooling devices, adaptable to various weather conditions, have the potential for year‐round energy savings. This study introduces a sustainable dual‐mode film made from polycaprolactone nanofibers and upcycled chip bags for effective thermal management.
