Switchable Supramolecular Adhesive by Tuning Interfacial Bonding and Modulus
The supramolecular adhesive (HyDiP) shows reversible adhesion and recyclability. In the dehydrated state, it is dense, stiff (E ≈445 MPa), transparent, and provides strong bonding with adhesion strengths up to 4.65 MPa. In the hydrated state, it becomes porous, soft (E ≈0.11 MPa), and detaches easily, enabling sustainable high‐strength applications ...

Truncated correlation hierarchy schemes for driven-dissipative multimode quantum systems
We present a method to describe driven-dissipative multi-mode systems by considering a truncated hierarchy of equations for the correlation functions. We consider two hierarchy truncation schemes with a global cutoff on the correlation order, which is ...

Photothermal, macroporous lignin‐based cryogels are engineered to convert sunlight into low‐grade heat. Integrated as stacked beds in a drum‐type device, a thin copper interlayer transfers waste heat between beds, enabling interlayer heat recovery and continuous solar cycling.

Efficient Simulation of Nontrivial Dissipative Spin Chains via Stochastic Unraveling
We present a new technique for efficiently simulating (in polynomial time) a class of one-dimensional (1D) dissipative spin chains that, when mapped to fermions, have quadratic Hamiltonians, with the only nonlinearity coming from Jordan-Wigner strings ...

Exterior integrability: Yang–Baxter form of non-equilibrium steady-state density operator
A new type of quantum transfer matrix, arising as a Cholesky factor for the steady-state density matrix of a dissipative Markovian process associated with the boundary-driven Lindblad equation for the isotropic spin-1/2 Heisenberg ( XXX ) chain, is ...

Infrared Nanocrystals for Space Application: Hardness to Irradiations
This article investigates infrared HgTe nanocrystals under X‐ray and ion irradiation, revealing remarkable radiation hardness. It uncovers distinct degradation mechanisms and shows that the nanomaterial outperforms integrated electronics. The results position colloidal nanocrystals as promising candidates for resilient space and harsh‐environment ...

Structural Porosity and Low Mineral Density in Enamel Rods Drive Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation
This study uses advanced imaging modalities on multiple length scales to show that molar‐incisor hypomineralization does not present as a locally homogeneous pathology. Instead, microstructural defects, characterized through non‐mineralized, protein‐rich sheaths and an altered mineral structure in between prism rods, resulting in local differences in ...

Scattering for wave equations with dissipative terms in layered media
In this article, we show the existence of scattering solutions to wave equations with dissipative terms in layered media. To analyze the wave propagation in layered media, it is necessary to handle singular points called thresholds in the spectrum ...

Dissipative operators on Banach spaces
A bounded linear operator \(T\) on a Banach space \(X\) is said to be dissipative if \(\| \exp(tT)\| \leq 1\) for all \(t \geq 0\), and is said to be Hermitian if \(\| \exp(itT)\| = 1\) for all \(t \in \mathbb R\). For a dissipative operator, it is proved that \[ \lim_{t \to \infty}\| \exp(tT)T\| = \sup\{| \lambda| : \lambda\in\sigma(T)\cap i\mathbb R \

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).
