Analytical Chemistry
Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is an essential method for monitoring and diagnosing faults in oil-immersed transformers. Acetylene (C2H2) and methane (CH4) are key indicator gases for fault identification.

Advances in data mining for dissolved gas analysis
Conference Record of the 2000 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation (Cat. No.00CH37075), 2002This paper reports NGC's continued application and refinement of a data mining technique based on the Kohonen neural network. The technique has been applied to NGC's database of transformer dissolved gas-in-oil analysis (DGA) measurements for high voltage transformers.

Dissolved gas analysis, measurements and interpretations
2018Oil-filled power transformers were first conceived and manufactured in the mid-tolate-1800s. They were (and to this day are) an essential component of the electrical power transmission and distribution infrastructure. Power transformers perform a power conversion function.

Dissolved gas analysis using evidential reasoning
IEE Proceedings - Science, Measurement and Technology, 2005A novel approach to the analysis and handling of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) data from several traditional methods, namely Roger's Ratio Method, Dornenburg's Ratio Method and the Key Gas Method, is presented. Ideas taken from fuzzy set theory are applied to 'soften' the fault decision boundaries employed by each of the three methods.

We theoretically studied the adsorption of dissolved gases H2, C2H2, and C2H4 in transformer oil and in pristine and Co-doped TiO2(1 0 1), respectively, on the basis of density functional theory calculations. First, the most stable structures of TiO2 and

Highly sensitive Raman system for dissolved gas analysis in water
Applied Optics, 2016The detection of dissolved gases in seawater plays an important role in ocean observation and exploration. As a potential technique for oceanic applications, Raman spectroscopy has already proved its advantages in the simultaneous detection of multiple species during previous deep-sea explorations.

Transformer Fault Diagnosis by Dissolved-Gas Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1980The great majority of incipient faults occurring in power transformers gives evidence of their presence early in their developmental stages. Oil and oil-impregnated electrical insulating materials can decompose under the influence of thermal and electrical stresses generating gaseous decomposition products which dissolve in the mineral oil.

Condition assessment of power transformers based on dissolved gas analysis
IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2019DGA is more sensitive and reliable technique for detecting and evaluating the incipient fault conditions in oil-immersed transformers. The most frequently interpretation technique that used in dissolved gas analysis is Duval triangle due to its ...
