The implementation of A3S information fusion algorithm for interpreting Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) based on Doernenburg Ratio

2017 International Symposium on Electronics and Smart Devices (ISESD), 2017
This paper proposes the implementation of A3S information fusion algorithm to interpret Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) based on Doernenburg Ratio. A3S (Arwin-Adang-Aciek- Sembiring) is a method of information fusion derived from Bayesian Inference Method (BIM) to handle multi-hypothesis multi-indication problem for single observation time.

Fault severity determination in transformers using dissolved gas analysis(DGA)

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
Severity is the intrinsic property of transformer faults. DGA of gaseous species evolving from power transformers due to electric and thermal stresses distinguishes between types of faults. No information about severity is provided by the DGA based techniques.

Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) of arcing faults in biodegradable oil insulation systems

2008 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials (ISEIM 2008), 2008
Due to environmental concerns regarding the use of mineral oil, biodegradable oil was commercially introduced as an alternative for transformer insulation in 1999. Since then, the usage of this oil in the power industry has steadily increased and a lot of researches have been in progress to make biodegradable oil as compatible as mineral oil.

Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA)

2019
The collection and analysis of gases in an oil-insulated transformer were discussed as early as 1928 [1]. One of the signs of fault diagnosis in a transformer is the rapid growth of gases during a failure of an oil-filled transformer. It should be noted that these gases are dissolved in the oil. As a result, some faults could be identified by analyzing

The design of automatic syringe shaker as the media supporting method of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) transformer oil

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
The general problem of operational power transformer was appearing in both thermal and electrical failure. Most of the power transformer usually used insulator oil that was functioning as cooler and to dissolve its hazardous gas in order not to circulate independently.

Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) to Diagnose the Internal Faults of Power Transformer by using Fuzzy Logic Method

2020 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP), 2020
Power transformer is very important part of power system and its proper working results in to reliability of power supply. Hence its frequent monitoring is required to avoid failure and it is related to internal fault. It impacts on economics of electricity distribution franchisee.

An Application of Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) in the Assessment of Transformer Failures: A Focus on Geomagnetic Disturbances (GMDs)

2018 IEEE PES/IAS PowerAfrica, 2018
Power transformers are an integral part of transmission and distribution plant and are often characterised by long procurements lead-times as they usually cannot be bought off-the-shelf. The procurement and replacement of a power transformer may require processes of transformer design specification, tendering, bid evaluation, contract award, designing,

Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) of Arc Discharge Fault in Transformer Insulation Oils (Ester and Mineral Oils)

2018 IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC), 2018
Transformer insulation oil is an important liquid for insulating and cooling of transformers. For many years' mineral oil has been used for as an insulating liquid in high voltage transformer. Mineral oil has good dielectric properties, however, due to environmental problem; recently many researchers have been looking for an alternative insulating ...
