Optimization of Treatments for the Conversion of Eucalyptus Kraft Pulp to Dissolving Pulp

Polymers from Renewable Resources, 2010
Eucalyptus wood is known worldwide for its use in the production of kraft pulps and dissolving pulps. In our previous study, the feasibility of using a eucalyptus kraft pulp as a dissolving pulp was investigated. It was demonstrated that a kraft pulp subjected to a sequence of treatments that included enzymatic treatments using a xylanase and a ...

Dissolving pulp from jute wastes

Bioresource Technology Reports, 2018
Abstract Bangladesh Government is interested to produce rayon from jute fiber. But jute fiber is an expensive raw material. Jute cuttings (JC) and jute caddis (CD) are generated as wastes in the jute mill. In this investigation dissolving pulp was produced from low grade jute (LGJ), JC and CD with 90% formic acid (FA) treatment at the boiling ...

Dissolving pulp from bamboo-willow

Cellulose, 2017
The production of dissolving pulp from bamboo-willow (Salix salicaceae or Zhuliu in Chinese) was investigated. It is one of the new fast-growing tree species with strong cold resistance and can grow well in arid areas. Bamboo-willow chips were prehydrolyzed with phosphoric acid and subsequently pulped via the Kraft process.
