When Super (Wo)man Fails to Appear: Beyond Idealized Prototypes in Crisis Leadership

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, Volume 46, Issue 6, Page 813-832, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Crisis leadership has been a topic of interest for nearly a century. Recent works present an idealized, gendered template for such leadership by casting men as masculine protectors or superheroes and women as feminine nurturers or selfless, relational superwomen.

National Report of Teachers' Experiences With School Justifications for Book Censorship

open access: yesReading Research Quarterly, Volume 60, Issue 3, July/September 2025.
ABSTRACT This study shares the findings from a large national survey of 4096 secondary English teachers to better understand their experiences with censors' justifications for book bannings. This study focuses on the 1793 teachers who said that their school, district, or library censored select books.

Versatile Two‐Step Process for Perovskite‐Based Tandem Photovoltaics

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 9, Issue 13, July 2025.
This study introduces a versatile solution‐based two‐step process for fabricating stable and efficient perovskite solar cells. A novel dual bimolecular passivation strategy improves the photophysical and material properties of the perovskite film, achieving 20.9% efficiency and enhanced stability.

Evaluating Nudging Techniques in Implementing the Lower Atmosphere Variability Induced by Tides and Gravity Waves Into the TIEGCM

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract We implement a nudging module into the Thermosphere Ionosphere Electrodynamics General Circulation Model (TIEGCM) to identify effective techniques for incorporating global‐scale tides and medium‐scale gravity waves (GWs) that induce ionospheric variability.

Opportunistic sampling from the near‐threatened Alexandrine parakeet uncovers genomes of a novel parvovirus and beak and feather disease virus

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 103, Issue 7, Page 416-421, July 2025.
Birds are known to harbour a wide range of pathogenic viruses, including the beak and feather disease virus (BFDV; species, Circovirus parrot), which poses a significant threat to the conservation of endangered avian species. This study reports the genomic identification and characterisation of a novel psittaciform chaphamaparvovirus (PsChPV‐6) and ...

Nuclear magnetic resonance properties of silica glass under pressure up to 2 Mbar: A view from ab initio calculations

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract The structures of silica (SiO2) glasses at high pressure provide insight into the thermo‐mechanical properties of chemically complex amorphous oxides upon stress, compression, and indentation. While much of our knowledge on glass structures has been garnered from high‐resolution solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) by probing the ...

A plant viral effector subverts FER‐RALF1 module‐mediated intracellular immunity

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 7, Page 2734-2751, July 2025.
Summary The receptor‐like kinase FERONIA (FER) is a prominent member of the Catharanthus roseus RLK1 (CrRLK1L) family, functioning as a modulator of immune receptor kinase complex formation in response to rapid alkalinization factors (RALFs). Typically, FER recognizes mature extracellular RALFs to combat bacterial and fungal infections.

A $$\varGamma $$-magic Rectangle Set and Group Distance Magic Labeling

open access: closed, 2015
A \(\varGamma \)-distance magic labeling of a graph \(G = (V, E)\) with \(|V| = n\) is a bijection \(\ell \) from V to an Abelian group \(\varGamma \) of order n such that the weight \(w(x) =\sum _{y\in N_G(x)}\ell (y)\) of every vertex \(x \in V\) is equal to the same element \(\mu \in \varGamma \) called the magic constant.
