Flexible 3D Kirigami Probes for In Vitro and In Vivo Neural Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A customizable and scalable approach to fabricate flexible 3D kirigami microelectrode arrays (MEAs) featuring up to 128 shanks, including surface and penetrating electrodes designed to interact with the 3D space of neural tissue, is presented. The 3D kirigami MEAs are successfully deployed in several neural applications, both in vitro and in vivo, and ...

Dual Modification of Metal–Organic Frameworks for Exceptional High Piezo‐Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel dual‐modification approach, ─NH₂ groups modification and Cu ions coordination, is first imposed on MIL‐125, which greatly improved carrier separation due to the enhanced piezoelectricity of MOFs caused by polarity alteration, leading to exceptional high piezo‐photocatalytic hydrogen production.

A Body Conformal Ultrasound Receiver for Efficient and Stable Wireless Power Transfer in Deep Percutaneous Charging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Implantable devices rely on batteries that demand surgical replacement, posing risks, and financial burdens. Ultrasound energy transfer (US‐ET) offers a revolutionary wireless alternative but struggles with efficiency. The presented dielectric‐ferroelectric‐boosted US‐TENG (US‐TENGDF‐B) is thin, flexible, and biocompatible that provides high‐efficiency

Structured Light Projection Using Image Guide Fibers for In Situ Photo‐biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐based biofabrication is typically performed with single wavelength light sources and within benchtop devices. This work demonstrates FaSt‐Light (Fiber‐assisted Structured Light) as a new approach to achieve multiwavelength image projection using flexible image guide fibers, which enables a variety of applications for in situ biofabrication ...
